It’s good business when every health care consumer will purchase a chemical byproduct as a prescription drug. That’s six billion potential customers for toxic waste. Voila sodium fluoride. Every baby in the pharmaceutically accessible world gets a fluoride prescription to prevent cavities. Does it work? Not according to the FDA, which considers fluoride an unapproved new drug for which there is no proof of safety or effectiveness.

In four major studies involving 480,000 children comparing fluoridated and non-fluoridated areas around the world, no significant differences could be found in decay rates. Is flouride toxic? Yes, fluoride causes cancer in rats, and exposure to fluoridated drinking water has been associated with bone cancer in humans. Fluoride exposure causes osteoporosis and increases the risk of hip fractures. It causes mottling of tooth enamel. According to the American Dental Association, dentists make 17 percent more profit in fluoridated areas as opposed to non-fluoridated areas. And all of these profits from a byproduct of the aluminum and fertilizer industry.

Fluoride has a toxicity rating higher than lead. So when a dentist suggests fluoride, just say no. For more info on fluoride toxicity see
